Business Central ERP Technical Lead (Contract)

Business Central ERP Technical LeadLocation: Dublin 2
Start: Immediate, initially 12 months
Key Experience - Seven plus years' experience as a Technical Lead, delivering an ERP solution eg Business Central or similar with very good experience of SaaS Only solutions for the following:
- Knowledge Management
- APIs
- Security
- Experience in the deployment authentication & integration of cloud and 3rd party SAAS
- Significant hands on experience working with the main Cloud environments ie Azure, AWS, Google
- Experience of PCI v3 minimum, PCI v4 preferable
- Experience with ServiceNow including workflows and system integrations
Role The Technical Lead will have complete responsibility for the following responsibilities as a key role in the design, development & installation of our clients new ERP solution based on
Microsoft Business Central.
- Work with the Technical Design Authority requirements to ensure all key technical decisions are made at the appropriate time with the appropriate people and documented accordingly.
- Takes the agreed Low-Level Design, oversees and ensures it's implemented as documented.
- Ensure all technical deliverables on the programme are fully planned, resourced and costed appropriately.
- Oversees the end to end technical implementation of the ERP Solution including FP&A:
- Work with Supplier, analysts, Project Solution Architect and business teams on the project and deliver the technical designs and specs required for the solution
- Proactively manage and co-ordinate all technical resources and deliverables on the project
- Work with the project management team to ensure technical resources are managed through project capacity planning activities
- Actively manage all project technical risks and actions with the senior members of the project and other stakeholders as required
- Ensure valid and fit-for-purpose DR solutions are developed, implemented across the Solution and tested.
- Key point of contact for all Vendor technical queries and co-ordinates all technical resources from the Various 3rd Party Suppliers
- Represents the technical needs and is the key point of contact for IT Teams
- Responsible for providing vendors information in relation to technical environments (Operational questions queries)
- Key point of contact for Programme Workstreams in relation to technical queries,
- Own the CAB process for the Programme, raising CAB requests and ensuring all key stakeholders are aware of CAB requests.
- Initial point of Escalation point for all Technical matters during build phase, UAT phase & Go-Live phases
- Technical implementation of the key aspects of solution design including:
- Security design compliance
- GDPR compliance
- Solution manageability & maintainability
- Solution robustness, availability & performance
- Integration (BI etc)
- Data Migration
- Responsible for technical organisation readiness
- Responsible for reviewing relevant technical design documents, providing feedback and input,
- Responsible for transition planning from a technical perspective
- Acts as a supporting Technical SDM as cutover phase approach's
- Responsible for delivery into service from an IT perspective & ensuring the appropriate support processes are in place with all relevant 3rd
- Responsible for identifying and ensure all relevant IT operational processes are updated and in place prior to go-live.
- Key relationship with Programme lead
The individual needs to have experience working in complex, multi-priority and matrixed organisations, and expertise dealing with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
A suitable candidate will also - Enthusiastic self-starter with a proactive approach to problem solving and systems development
- Strong ability to work to project deadlines and project plans
- Knowledge of industry-standard methodologies, tools and environments
- Extensive experience in developing and maintaining design/environment documentation required
- Experience in managing Technical Design Authority and technical resources, with strong stakeholder management skills needed
- Experience in Systems Integration
- Have proven and successful experience driving positive change and influencing enhanced performance within an ERP implementation.
- Strong understanding of project management concepts and planning
- Managing and coordinating all suppliers from a technical aspect
- Key time management and planning skill's
- Have an ability to operate effectively under pressure and deliver results.
- Be able to prioritize, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines, possess strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, be self-motivated working under minimal supervision, and demonstrate calmness and composure
- Be approachable and relatable individual, making it easy for junior personnel to follow their directions
- Strong organisational and project management skills with experience implementing finance systems and associated projects;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Strong analytical ability, with a logical approach to problem solving and sound judgement;
- Dynamic, with a natural focus on the 'big picture', combined with strong attention to detail; and
- Proactive, with a 'can-do' approach and the ability to organise and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
