New requirement with my client in Germany.
DB2-zOS Database & System Administrator needed for a Bank in Berlin/remote.
Requirements:
- Practical experience in DB2 administration, preferably with certificates
- Strong system knowledge in DB2 under zOS
- Proficiency in REXX and other Scripting for automation
- Familiarity with BMC tools like Catalog Manager, Change Manager, Apptune, etc.
- Expertise in performance optimization for DB2 zOS
- ITIL process knowledge
- Ability to work independently and deliver results
- Conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to participate in on-call duties for 24x7 operation
Responsibilities include:
- Installation, maintenance, and upgrading of DB2 for zOS software
- Performing standby and special operations, including backups and recovery
- Monitoring database utilization and performance
- Tuning and parameterizing databases
- Implementing security requirements
- Creating and updating procedural documentation
Project period: Immediate start
Project location: Berlin/remote
