On behalf of our client, a global financial institution based in Basel, Swisslinx is looking for a Senior Operational Risk Manager to join the local risk management team. The core focus of the role is to coordinate and execute second line of defense activities within the operational risk framework. This would be a temporary position until March 2025 with a subsequent extension likely.

Your Responsibilities:
Coordinate and execute second line of defense activities for operational risk management:
Perform risk and control assessments; Identify and monitor operational risks;
Produce periodic risk reporting to senior stakeholders and the Board of Directors.
Contribute to efforts to organize risk compliance processes for new products and services associated with Transformation effort.
Research and present background on industry best practices and guides for risk monitoring practices and processes.
Provide training on operational risk management practices and the three lines of defense model.
Ensure that risk artefacts are captured and managed in GRC tool.

Your Profile:
5+ years' experience implementing and coordinating enterprise risk management or operational risk management for commercial or central banks
Solid understanding of risk management and the three lines of defense model for enterprise risk management
Experience establishing and/or maintaining 1LOD, 2LOD risk monitoring processes and tools.
Aptitude and experience in strategic project management and strong organizational skills.
Experience in coordinating interdisciplinary working groups, ideally in an international environment.
Strong interpersonal skills and strong cultural sensitivity.
Proven experience curating diverse perspectives.
Full business fluency in English
